Health Promotion course outline

 

 

  1. Introductory lectures and discussions (weeks 1-4): devoted to an overview of health, health promotion, decision-making and best practices in health promotion
  2. Exploration of the theoretical and evidence bases, and practical application of both individual and social-environment approaches, in planning health promotion interventions (weeks 5-13)
  3. Student presentations: Throughout the course students (or groups of students) will make presentations related to:
1.       Selected textbook chapters
2.       Required/recommended journal articles
3.       Required preparatory exercises
4.       Their selected issue/problems, and their progress in analyzing their chosen interventions/responses
